在車展正式開幕之前的數日，比亞迪已經釋出了宋在新疆進行高溫測試偽裝照片。宋L的車型長寬高分別為 4,840mm、1,950mm 和 1,560mm，軸距則為 2,930mm。車輛外觀的輪廓已經清晰地展現出來，包括細長的 LED 頭燈組、保險桿下方的梯形進氣口等。與概念車相比，量產版少了前泵把下方兩側的大面積三角形進氣口，以及前葉子板後端的導流氣孔。此外，車身兩側的電子後視鏡也被傳統後視鏡所取代。
雖然沒有了概念版有的東西，可是車側的設計元素與概念車的造型非常接近。車尾設計則具有橫跨式 LED 尾燈組，其輪廓類似 Porsche 車系的設計元素，但內部的發光造型完全不同。概念車上的擾流尾翼完整保留在量產車上，但後下導流器則沒有一同保留。此外，宋L 還採用了無窗框的車門設計、隱藏式外門把、黑化的 A 柱以及可升降的尾翼等。

BYD has once again introduced a new car, this time unveiling the "Song L" model in the Chengdu Auto Show. The name exudes a powerful aura, and prior to the official opening of the auto show, BYD had already released disguised photos of the Song L undergoing high-temperature testing in Xinjiang. The dimensions of the Song L model are 4,840mm in length, 1,950mm in width, and 1,560mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,930mm. The vehicle's exterior design details have been clearly showcased, including the slender LED headlights and the trapezoidal air intake beneath the bumper. In comparison to the concept car, the production version omits the large triangular air intakes on the sides of the front bumper and the aerodynamic vents at the rear of the front fenders. Additionally, the electronic side mirrors have been replaced with conventional ones.
Although some elements from the concept version are missing, the design elements on the sides of the car closely resemble the concept car's styling. The rear design features a spanning LED taillight assembly with contours reminiscent of Porsche's design language, but the internal lighting pattern is entirely different. The disruptive flow spoiler from the concept car has been retained in the production version, though the rear underflow diffuser has not been retained. Furthermore, the Song L boasts frameless doors, concealed exterior door handles, blackened A-pillars, and a deployable rear wing.
Song L is developed based on the e-platform 3.0 and is available in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations. The former delivers a maximum horsepower of 308, while the latter achieves an impressive 510 horsepower, with a capped top speed of 201 km/h. This model features the Blade 800V high-voltage battery system, enabling faster charging, and the battery is integrated into the chassis using a cell-to-body design. Moreover, the Song L will be equipped with the DiSus-A pneumatic suspension system to enhance driving performance. Song L is expected to officially go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year.
