隨著 Tesla 開放自家充電規格並改名 NACS，多家車廠陸續加入充電網路，包括 Ford、GM、Rivian、Volvo 以及最新的 Mercedes-Benz。Tesla 執行長 Elon Musk 近日更點名 Toyota，呼籲其加入 NACS 聯盟。

最近有人駕駛 Toyota bZ4X 往返紐約與華盛頓特區，行車時間 9 小時，充電時間也高達 3 小時。相較之下，若駕駛 Tesla Model Y 則只需要約 30 分鐘的充電時間。駕駛發現 bZ4X 剩餘 37% 電量時前往充電站，但充電速度卻無法超過 35kW，因此充到 74% 時就耗時 45 分鐘，接著更換充電站，充電功率仍未超過 50kW，最終充到 80% 電量花費 1 小時 15 分鐘。充電速度的差異讓 bZ4X 的實用性相較於 Tesla Model Y 有所差距。

Tesla 執行長 Elon Musk 在分析師 Sawyer Merrit 的貼文下方回應，呼籲 Toyota 加入 NACS 聯盟，讓豐田集團與其他車廠加入擁有更優異快充功率的 NACS 充電網路。目前，Volkswagen、Stellantis 與 Hyundai-Kia 集團也在考慮加入 NACS 規格。加入 NACS 聯盟，能提供更優質的充電體驗，也能讓消費者更有信心購買電動車。

With Tesla opening up its own charging specifications and renaming it to NACS, several automakers have joined the charging network, including Ford, GM, Rivian, Volvo, and the latest addition, Mercedes-Benz. Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently called out Toyota, urging the company to join the NACS alliance.

Recently, an electric vehicle analyst Sawyer Merrit pointed out that a Toyota bZ4X driver traveled from New York to Washington D.C. in a total of 9 hours, requiring 3 hours of charging time. However, if the same route was driven in a Tesla Model Y, the charging process was estimated to take only about 30 minutes.

The driver of the bZ4X found that the charging speed could not exceed 35kW when the car had only 37% battery left. It took 45 minutes to charge up to 74%, and then the charger was changed. The charging power still did not exceed 50kW, and it took 1 hour and 15 minutes to charge up to 80%. The difference in fast charging power affected the usability of the bZ4X.

In response to Merrit's post, Tesla CEO Elon Musk immediately called on Toyota to join the NACS alliance. He urged Toyota and other automakers to join the NACS charging network, which has better fast charging power. Currently, Volkswagen, Stellantis, and Hyundai-Kia are also considering joining the NACS specifications. Joining the NACS alliance can provide a better charging experience and give consumers more confidence in buying electric vehicles.
