Whether it's toys or models, for automotive enthusiasts, captivating designs and realistic details always catch their attention. Recently, in Hong Kong, known as the "Four-wheel-drive Godfather," Victor Ma has brought forth a series of stunning Land Rover model cars that leave admirers in awe of their meticulous craftsmanship.

Collaborating with FMS, a company specialized in model aircraft production, Victor Ma has produced a limited edition of 12 Land Rover model cars, each intricately crafted to perfectly replicate the details of the actual vehicles. These models not only boast realistic exteriors but also excel in functionality. Details such as the turning steering wheel, wheels following the rotation, and the shifting gear lever are meticulously reproduced, providing a lifelike driving experience.

The fidelity of these Land Rover model cars extends to the minutest details, from the functioning of headlights to the authentic actions during gear shifts. Victor Ma's professionalism and dedication to model making are evident in every aspect. Moreover, these models showcase subtle differences between different models, such as variations in the positioning of Land Rover license plates, differences in body height, thickness of seat cushions, gun seats, fire extinguisher colors, and the design of the engine hood. Each of these 12 model cars faithfully recreates elements present in the actual vehicles.

The collaboration between Victor Ma and the manufacturing company encountered some controversies during the model-making process. While the manufacturer aimed for low cost and high sales, Victor Ma insisted on pursuing high quality and precision. Ultimately, they reached a consensus and produced a special edition of Land Rover models, available exclusively in the Hong Kong region.

The creation of model cars is not merely a technical endeavor but also a demonstration of respect for automotive culture and history. Through this series of Land Rover models, Victor Ma showcases his passion for cars and his utmost pursuit of detail. For car enthusiasts, these models are undeniably valuable collectibles.

However, the production of a single car requires two to three days, with costs reaching up to HKD 20,000. This raises the question of whether selling vehicles at such prices would be financially viable.

Victor Ma, known as the "Godfather," explains that his motivation is rooted in his desire to own the 12 cars he creates. However, given his abundance of toys at home, he acknowledges being a "toy king" with an extensive collection of gaming toys. Therefore, he introduced the concept of shared enjoyment, hoping to share his hobby with more people.

After initially crafting five cars and promoting them through Facebook chat, surprisingly, people placed orders. Although the prices were not confirmed at the time, people were willing to purchase, prompting Victor Ma to commit to producing all 12 cars to fulfill his dream. He explains that arranging the 12 cars in a lineup creates the most beautiful photographic effect, aligning with the parking arrangement in military lots.

The uniqueness of these 12 Land Rovers lies in their previous use by Hong Kong Chinese British soldiers. The different license plates of these vehicles reflect their varying years of service. Victor Ma emphasizes that these vehicles represent a period in Hong Kong's history, embodying a tribute to the past. Through these distinctive model cars, he aims to provide the younger generation with a deeper understanding of Hong Kong's history.
